Community Action changes people's lives, embodies the spirit of hope, improves communities, and makes America a better place to live. We care about the entire community, and are dedicated to helping people help themselves and each other.
This May, Community Actions across Maine and the country will celebrate their history of partnering with other organizations to address poverty related issues in their communities. Since their inception in 1964, CAAs have established and maintained a variety of partnerships with other community-based organizations. During these current difficult economic times, partnerships have been the key for Community Action Agencies to keep helping low-income individuals weather the storm. We have all worked together to ensure that the low-income always have access to critical programs and services.
